in 2011, i bought my first car. i was quoted in the city’s biggest paper, helped organise climate rallies, coal seam gas protests, and worked with the people who made this amazing video for marriage equality. i was unceremoniously dumped in a sandwich shop by a boy who had seemed promising at the time. i flew to nepal with soph, and swam in a lake below the himalayas. for the first time, i was paid to do something i love doing (and still managed to keep up roadtrips to beautiful places in the weekends). one morning in april, i kissed a really beautiful boy in a tent and spent the rest of the year feeling thrilled about it. at the work christmas party, i got so drunk that i didn’t get into work the next day. on the last night of 2011, we sat on the kitchen floor and cried briefly, laughed a lot. we dangled out of windows on the fourth floor and whooped and yelled. then i fell asleep in a bed with my two favourite people.
most of all, last year, i decided i’d break the glass and make as many things as possible. you can find them all here.
